Crescent Beach Adventure – Ivy’s First Time Seeing The Ocean!

I love new adventures with the kiddos. And although going to the beach is not a new thing to these guys, going to a beach with shells and baby crabs in the evening sure is!  When we were in Vancouver this last week we took a quick stop at Crescent Beach to show Ivy the ocean for the first time! It’s always the little unexpected things that are so fun. I loved watching them explore and experience the ocean life.

I taught her how to flip up the rocks to find the baby crabs ?. But they ran away so fast I didn’t get a photo of them. Speedy buggers! Corbin wasn’t as into the crabs as long as Ivy was . I love her curiosity! Corbin is in a stage of asking if things are oowies or scary. Being cautious of the little crabs was so cute!

Before leaving the beach Ivy decided it was time to make gravel angles. It’s times like these that I wish it wasn’t weird if I had of joined her. I love kid life! Next time I will! 😉

And of course the ocean experience is never complete without some fish & chips for dinner!

I love little last minute decisions to go on adventures. Usually we would have the kids fed, bathed, and ready for bed by this time of night, but going on an ocean adventure sounded like more fun!

One of my highlights of the evening was eating fish & chips with my hubby, while the kiddos ran around on a small piece of grass nearby, playing “Hide and Seek” behind just one small tree and playing “Ring Around the Rosie” with just the two of them. The sun was going down (my favorite time of the day), it was warm but cool enough to have a sweat shirt on (getting cozy), and we just enjoyed each others company. We were the only ones there.

P.S. I am loving the weather change this season. Fall is coming!! I’m excited!! But then winter comes… and I’m not so excited for that…

I hope this post inspires you to take the time out of your “busy life” to go on small fun adventures! Unexpected adventures are the best! Until next time, love the ones you are with, take the time to enjoy their company, and create beautiful memories!
