Wrist Key Chains have saved my day many times! They are a must have for people who have kids, pets, or people who just have your hands full and need to access a locked door. They also make looking for your keys at the bottom of your purse so much easier. Wrist Key Chains are so easy and fast to make that you will want to make one for everyone in your life. They also make a great DIY gift idea because they can be personalized for each individual. I’ll help you through making your own Super Cute DIY Wrist Key Chain so you can also enjoy one more small thing in life too.
Supplies Needed:

- Flat Nose Plier Tool – One Tool 1″ 25mm Wide Flat Nose Plier Tool
- Cotton Webbing –Cotton Webbing – 1 1/4″ Medium Heavy Weight (1 Yard or 5 Yards) (5 Yards, Mixed Colors)
- Ribbon
- Thread
- Sewing Machine

Step 1: Cut your webbing and ribbon to 10 1/2 inches long. You can make it smaller or bigger depending on who will be using the Wrist Key Chain. I just find 10 1/2 inches fits most people.
Step 2: Place ribbon on webbing where you would like it to lay and sew it down along both sides of the ribbon with coordinating coloured thread.
Thread Tip: If the bottom webbing is a different colour than the top ribbon, use a coordinating thread for the bobbin that matches the bottom webbing, and a different colour thread on the top to match the ribbon.
Step 3: Add your key fob hardware by compressing it over the ends of the cotton webbing and ribbon with some flat nose pliers. If you don’t have the proper pliers for the job (like me) you can use any pliers. Just protect your hardware from scratches by wrapping something around the grooves of the pliers (I used super cute pink duct tape).
Step 4: Put your new awesome Wrist Key Chain on your set of keys. And ENJOY!!
