This week we adventured to beautiful McMillan Farms and frolicked with the pumpkins! Every year we visit this farm at the same time of the year… FALL!! The Farm has so many fun activities available for the kiddos, and it’s a great place to snap super cute photos of them too. I may have gone over board with the photos, but I couldn’t pick just one!! EEEkkkk… I love everything about getting cozy in sweaters, kicking up the leaves, and smelling the fall air! So that’s what we did at McMillan Farms. Corbin is sporting the sweetest sweater made by his amazing Grandy! It may have taken her since before he was born to complete, but it is made with so much love. I love how cute he is in it, and it was perfect for our pumpkin adventure! Thank you sooooo much GRANDY (AND… Thanks to Great Grandy Edna, for flying to Canada to help her get it done, lol. She couldn’t have done it without you. Miss you already)!!
NOTE: So… I’m aware that there is a few more Ivy photos than Corbin photos in our Pumpkin Patch Adventure. This is because Corbin can be hard to photograph. Most of my photos of him were a blur. I could blame that on my lack of photography skills or… He moves really fast!
MCMILLAN FARMS PUMPKIN STORE FRONT!
Ivy found the perfect one (I say “one” because I don’t know what it is) right away! Awesome Ivy, but I don’t think that one is going to live at our house, it might not be child Halloween appropriate!! lol! What is that thing?
KIDS ACTIVITIES PLAY AREA!
THE CORN PLAY PIT!
CORN TOSS!
My kids are so good at this game!
HOW TALL THIS FALL GROWTH CHART!
This is probably the best photo I have of Corbin’s super cute sweater. Please excuse his awkward facial expression. He had his eye on much more exciting activities at McMillan Farms than standing up against a board, which I make him do every year!
Corbin and “How Tall Are You This Fall” growth chart 2 years ago! He must have got away from me last year because I can’t find a photo of him and the wall… Moms force your kids to take photos or you will be sad like me right now…
Ivy is this tall this fall!!
And she was this tall last fall! So tiny!
PUMPKIN SLING SHOTS!
This activity was a little to advanced for my kiddos so we decided to sling shot Ivy instead!
LITTLE KIDS HAY MAZE!
I have taken a photo of Corbin in this hay maze every year since he started walking. So here is a look at his walk through time in the maze!
Corbin this year. Almost 3 1/2 years old!
Corbin Last year. Almost 2 1/2 years old!
Corbin 2 years ago! Almost 1 1/2 years old!! So tiny and cute!!!! I miss that baby!!
This is the kids giving up in the maze (I don’t blame them, I get it… I HATE BEING LOST)… Ivy just wants to be lifted over the hay…
And Corbin was big enough to crawl up and over the hay bails. I think he looks like my little baby in this photo!
SITTING ON PUMPKINS!!
Ivy Lynnkins is almost 2 this fall, she is growing up too fast!!!
And Baby Ivy Lynnkins Last year! She was not yet 1!! She has changed so much… yet her weight is almost the same!! I sware I feed her, she’s just so active now.
The kiddos cuddling on the pumpkins so nicely… really they are in fear of something on the ground…
This is what they were looking at… crrreeeepppyyy!
This year….
And last year!!
FINDING OUR PUMPKINS!
Ivy wanted to take a pumpkin home in her pocket! So silly Ivy…
I love the look on Ivy’s face in this photo. She loves her big brother so much! Or she’s thinking about how much she really wants to bite him…
SITTING IN FRONT OF THE MCMILLAN FARMS SIGN!
And one last photo from the years past!! Cute baby Corpus Porpoise 2 years ago!!
So fun to have photos of the same activities year to year to compare! This is something easy that you could do to document your childs growth! You could frame each photo in a group frame and display it for that holiday. I do this with our Santa Photos but maybe I’ll start doing it with the pumpkin patch too and display it as part of our Halloween decor!
Thank you McMillan Farms for having us! They have even more activities than the ones I photographed, such as a corn maze (not really young kid appropriate if you want to be able to leave at anytime, plus I HATE getting lost), and tractor hay bale rides (we came to early in the day to partake in this adventure, but super fun as we have done it in past years). If you are in Kelowna in the fall, this is a must visit place to bring the kiddos! Don’t forget to cozy up in your sweaters and enjoy the day!
And a huge thank you to Grandy for knitting Corbin his awesomely cute sweater! You know me girl! I love to dress my kiddos in super comfy sweaters all season long. The more sweaters the better! I cant wait to see what pattern she knits up next! Until next time, Enjoy taking photos of your kiddos, dress them in the coziest homemade sweaters, and enjoy creating beautiful memories!

P.S. you can check out other Kelowna Adventures here, or if you are looking for some kid friendly Vancouver Adventures they can be found here!
P.P.S. Here is a link to the super cute sweater pattern that Grandy used to sew up Corbin’s Sweater. She just omitted the deer’s on the front. With or without the deer’s… this sweater is super adorable and light weight so it can be worn for fall, winter, and even spring! Check it out by clicking on the photo below!
