Weight Loss Lemon Salmon Recipe!

When it comes to weight loss simple tasty recipes are key. This Weight Loss Lemon Salmon dish is packed full of flavour and promotes healthy weight loss!

So this isn’t much of a recipe as it is a great weight loss food idea. It’s literally cooking salmon with lemon slices on it. This has always been my go to method of cooking salmon and my fish-eating members of the family love it! (Ivy won’t eat any type or style of fish, so her opinion on my lemon fish doesn’t count. she’s a non-fish eater type of girl, this is sad, but true).

In addition to my Weight Loss Lemon Salmon I made some super yummy cauliflower “rice” (not really rice, just very small cauliflower pieces) with grilled veggies and spices. Eat as many vegetables as you like and you will lose weight! I promise! The trick is finding a way to cook/prepare your veggies in a way that you love! For me lately it has been grilling vegetables on a baking tray in the oven. I could almost eat the whole tray! If people are interested in learning how I grill super tasty vegetables let me know in the comments and I’ll do a few different grilled vegetable recipes!

And because my appetite is massive I also added a simple green salad to my dinner. Just lettuce and snap peas and I drizzled a bit of apple cider vinegar on it (little tip if you are struggling to take an apple cider vinegar supplement – Apple cider vinegar is awesome as a dressing on salads!).

We enjoyed our dinner outside on the patio until our food was attacked by bees. Bees also loved my Lemon Salmon. I don’t blam them… but we moved inside.

Oh Ivy… I always put a little taster of each food on my kids plates (even when I know they don’t like the food) just in case they are curious and feel the urge to try it. In this case I put a small piece of fish on Ivy’s plate and it looks like she’s going to puke! Thanks ivy! I still love you!

So this super easy Weight Loss Lemon Salmon is super yummy, quick to prepare and cook. It’s awesome as leftovers so making a bunch and creating some lunches with it is an awesome idea to keep on track when trying to lose weight. When I make my dinners I always make enough for my lunch the next day, so I am never without a healthy meal. When I’m not meal prepped that’s when I most commonly cheat on my diet or I go super unsatisfied by eating raw veggies.

Weight Loss Lemon Salmon

Ingredients

  • Salmon I cooked half of a Costco salmon
  • 1 Lemon sliced
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pre heat oven to 400 degrees

  2. Rinse Salmon in cold water and place in on a tin foiled lined baking pan 

  3. Sprinkle on pepper if desired

  4. Slice lemon and place lemon slices on top of the salmon 

  5. Wrap Salmon in tin foil and place in the pre heated oven for 20 mins...Enjoy!!
