What a Day! August 12, 2017! A perfect day for my beautiful friend Nicole to get married to her dreamboat Paul… and for my kiddos to be apart of the beautiful wedding, by being on their best behaviours, and doing their exciting jobs as the ring bearer and flower girl! We are so honored to be chosen to be apart of such an exciting and special day! It all started like this…
Back in the winter we received a package in the mail! If your don’t know getting packages is the most exciting thing that happens in my kids lives… I don’t know why, but the excitement level of receiving anything by mail is bigger than to the moon and back. I should take a video of my kids reactions to having the newspaper arrive at our door. you would think that they just spotted the mount Everest of candy on our door step by their reactions. Any way, my dear friend Nicole knew about this excitement factor and sent the cutest package in the mail. We couldn’t get home fast enough from picking it up at the mailbox just down the street. I had no idea this package was coming either so my reaction was of shock and delight as the kiddos opened up their gifts. They received the cutest little books with cards asking them to be apart of her most special day! SO CUTE! From that day forward Corbin loved having us read his ring bearer book to him at night and he would tell random strangers that he was the ring bearer! Ivy is a little young to understand but she went along with all the excitement! YAY!! Aren’t these books the cutest! I even loved the wrapping paper that the books came in!
A few months went by and we received their outfits that were specially chosen for both the kiddos (Big thanks to Nicole’s mommy who was the best wedding planner mom a girl could ask for, and found all the elements of these super cute outfits). The outfits were perfect! The kids were so excited about these ring bearer and flower girl outfits and I was so scared that they would get ripped out of the closet and covered in dirty faced kids before the big day. But the outfits survived. Thank goodness! SO CUTE Right!!!!
Ivy’s dress is beautiful. I wish now that the wedding is over that there were more events that she could wear it to. Maybe it can be her b-day dress!!
So it’s now the big day!! We arrived at the beautiful venue Kirkland House in Ladner BC. It was decorated beautifully because my girl Nicole has the best taste in EVERYTHING!! So many cute little touches that made the day just so perfect!
Now I just have to get my little nose pickers dressed and get them in a good mood to give this our best shot! Haha, if you know what kids can be like (eye roll)… the chance of having 2 kids on their best behaviours at the same time is pretty unrealistic, at least for us, most of the time!
First step to getting ready, make sure all the boogies are picked, check! Second step… get Daddy to dress you in your super special ring bearer clothes (I thought this was a cute moment, and although dressing him is an everyday occurrence, this time he didn’t fight it!).
Ivy was super excited to wear her beautiful flower girl dress too. She just wanted to make sure her bow looked perfect and rearranged it to perfection about 100 times. It’s beautiful Ivy!
Ivy making sure that every hair is in its place, and getting ready to give up her sue-sue for the duration of the ceremony! (You can do it Ivy)
And hot stuff here doesn’t even recognize himself. Killen it!
This is the moment the beautiful bride arrived. Corbin and Ivy magically stood at the window in anticipation of their first glimpse of Nicole, the most beautiful bride ever! The photographer saw the kids in the window and took some shots of them from outside. I’m excited to see how those photos turn out.
Ivy’s showing the bride and her wedding party that she has the flowers, so we are all set to walk down the aisle.
Almost time..
Corbin giving himself a pep talk just before it was our turn to walk, about the importance of getting the rings safely down the aisle (not the real rings, but he doesn’t know that)!
Right at the last moment, right before it was time to walk down the aisle they were almost distracted with popcorn, but we pulled it together and decided we were here for a job to do, and that job was to “Be Cute” and walk down the whole aisle!
And they did it to perfection! They even held hands! My babies! So cute! The next 2 photos are not mine as I was not able to take photos of them while they were actually walking down the aisle, because I walked them halfway down the aisle and then hid as they walked the rest of the way with their Daddy shaking popcorn at the front on the aisle. And it worked!! Thanks Nicole’s Mom for the photos!!
They held hands!!!!! Who are these kids?!?! I was shocked that they pulled it off! I was certain one of them would refuse to walk or get scared by all the people. But they did it!!! Just look at them!! (Ivy’s headband is falling off but its not on the gound! WIN!!)
My fam Jam! Quietly eating their popcorn and watching the Beautiful Nicole and Paul say their vows to one another.
She was seriously the most beautiful bride ever! So happy for you Nicoley!!
Here is how the kids feel about love… Good! You guys can’t date till you are 20!! That number still freaks me out, how about no dating EVER! And while I’m at it, how about no growing up either!! Thanks!!
Ivy trying to ride a plastic flamingo!?!?!
And we are out! Ivy is done and taking her shoes and outfit off as soon as she could! Big thanks to Shawn’s mom for picking the kiddos up, so we could enjoy the rest of the wedding, and OH!! WE PARTIED!!!!! We partied so hard I forgot to take any more photos.
This was an amazing experience and we are so grateful to the bride and groom for choosing us as their special little people for their beautiful day! And thank you to my kiddos for behaving and getting your being cute job done magically! LOVE you both more than you will ever understand!!
Until next time, enjoy the little ones in your life, for sometimes they will surprise you, and enjoy creating beautiful memories!

Thanks Erin!!!! I wish that too! But I’m also excited to travel to Spain solo and really enjoy myself. Love you guys!!! Can’t wait to be sisters ;)!
It doesn’t get more adorable than that! Love them walking down the aisle and also looking at themselves in the mirror!
