DIY – Bar Stool Makeover!

I got these bar stools years ago from a friend who was moving away and getting rid of everything in her apartment. I took these bar stools off her hands. At that time they had a wood finish and a beige corduroy fabric seat.

I painted them white and made a slip cover from some fabric I found at Value Village. I highly recommend going to Value Village for inexpensive fabric.

I just cut the fabric about 6 inches bigger then the top of the seat and sewed the edges of the fabric around a large thick fabric elastic band so that it can easily stretch on and off.

Like this…

The fabric has this cute texture. AND SPARKLES!!

My painting imperfections which are not seen.

I have had these bar stools for a long time now, and although I love the makeover they received I look forward to the day I get bar stools with a backing for more comfort.

You can easily fix up furniture that you have around your house with a new coat of paint or a slip cover. I hope you feel inspired!

Have fun creating!
