Is it fall yet?!?! I love this cozy season, and everything associated with fall! The smell of the air (minus the smoke), candles burning, crisp leaves under your feet (or slippers inside), sipping hot apple cider, and getting cozy under a blanket by the fire. I live for this season, and so does my front porch! I mean who doesn’t like a fall porch right… Well, this year I made a simple fall wreath to decorate our front door with. Not only is it simple, It’s also quick to put together! You got this!
SUPPLIES NEEDED TO MAKE A SIMPLE FALL WREATH:
- Willow Wreath Form
- Tall Dry Grass
- Faux fall Greenery/Flowers
- Small Faux Velvet Pumpkins
- Floral Wire
- Hot Glue Gun/Hot Glue
- Command Hook for the Door
STEPS TO MAKE A SIMPLE FALL WREATH:
Step 1: Gather your supplies. I used some tall grass from my yard (which can also be found all around town during the beginning of fall), 2 fall Greenery bunches (from Walmart), an orange velvet pumpkin (from Walmart), and a wreath form. You can use any type of faux/or real fall flowers/greenery/pine cones/pumpkins that you desire.
Step 2: I tied small bunches of the dried grass together with floral wire so that they would be stable on the wreath. The bigger the bunch on the wreath the easier it is too attach to a wreath form. Like this…
Step 3: Arrange your dried grass on the wreath, and “I” tied them to the wreath form with more wire, BUT I think hot glue might work way better. Then trim the ends if needed…
Step 4: Add more faux flowers/greenery to the wreath. Again I used wire to attach them, but I think hot glue would be more efficient. Using hot glue instead of wire would reduce the need to cover up the wires, be more stable, and take less time to add them to the wreath form. This is what mine looks like so far…
Step 5: For my last decoration, I added a fun pop of orange with this velvet pumpkin. It’s so cute, and it was big enough to hide all my wires (which you wouldn’t have to do, if you used hot glue)!!
Step 6: Add a command hook to your door, and hang up your lovely simple fall wreath! Then just step back, and admire your craftiness! Better yet, add a cozy rocking chair to your front porch, and enjoy all the cozy feels! YAY!! Let’s just say “cozy” one more time!! Wink.
I hope this little simple fall wreath has inspired you to create your own fall wreath for your own home this year! I love how something so simple can add just that little touch of cozy. It’s all about the cozy!!
