Corbin turned 4!! I know… I know… I know what you are thinking… We kept a child alive for 4 years!!! Go us!! Lol. It is so true the saying, “The days are long, but the years so short!” I can’t believe that he’s already 4!?!?! It was only yesterday that he was learning to crawl, giggling his baby giggle, and putting everything he could find in his mouth. Well actually, He still puts everything in his mouth, because let me tell you, our grocery bills are ridicules… I don’t know if we will be able to afford to feed him if he grows up anymore. Don’t grow up Corbin! (Also… he has suddenly became very vocal about only wanting to be called Corbin… there goes all his old nicknames… sad face). Anyways, to celebrate his aging process we threw him a LEGO Birthday Party! And this is how it went down!
So, lately I have loved Corbin’s age so much. So many changes in this boy, that I don’t know where to start! He’s starting to listen so much better, stopped running away (runners are the worst), makes friends where ever he goes, loves his family (even his little sister, when she allows him too…), and is a pleasure to run errands with. He’s becoming such a grown up boy!
Every year, Corbin picks his desired party theme, (really it’s only been the last 2 years, because babies don’t know what they want at their parties – silly babies), and then I obsess over the idea (by that I mean become a Pinterest ninja), till all the elements of a kid’s birthday party come to life! Check out what we came up with this year! We had so much fun!
Welcome to Corbin’s 4th LEGO Birthday Party! I’ll be creating a few tutorials on some of the things that I made for the party. If you want to know about anything… don’t hesitate to ask. You know me… I love making tutorials! Lol.
Here are the Lego Birthday Party Ideas, that we made come to life this year!
LEGO PARTY SIGNS
LEGO signs are an easy way to add some decor to your LEGO Birthday Party! All you need is a LEGO board, and then you can make up any saying that you want. I went with a “4” for the front door, and “Party Time” for the drink table.”
LEGO NAME SIGN
The trick to creating a stand up Lego Letter name, is having them attached a board. This way you can move them without them crumbling apart, and they will stand up if there is a bit of wind. Or you could use the “KRAGLE!”
LEGO MAN FACE CUPS
The Drink Table… here are the LEGO face cups that I created for everyone to enjoy drinking their beverages out of. Lol. Corbin helped me come up with the idea for each of the cups. This one in particular is his friends dad Brent! Lol.
LEGO FOOD TABLE
I made these LEGO chocolate covered Rice Crispy squares! Fun… tasty… and the kids loved them. Ivy just ate the chocolate off the top (My girl!!).
And these Chocolate covered marshmallow LEGO Head guys on a stick! This is the only photo I have of them. Thanks Ivy for eating one (or ten) so that I have a photo of this fun marsh mallow treat! Love you, Miss Ivy Linnkins!
LEGO PARTY DECOR IDEAS
These Big LEGO pieces lined the yard, they are made out of boxes wrapped in a solid coloured wrapping paper, with a coloured plastic plate stuck on the front! I indented to make these bigger LEGO blocks (made out of diaper boxes, that I had saved up), but then I realized that would take too much wrapping paper… So I raided our recycling bin and found a bunch of different sized boxes. It worked!
I placed them all over the yard, at the front door, and on the food and drink tables!
LEGO coloured Balloons were strung across the yard. This also ended up looking different then what I had planned. I wanted about 6 stands of balloons hanging above the yard, but Shawn’s life was hanging from the roof top while attaching them to the house. I thought risking his life for 2 strands was enough. Eeeeekkkk. Thanks to the rest of the family for finding places for all the other balloons around the yard and house! Love my family for putting up with my party visions. Lol!
LEGO PARTY ACTIVITIES
I cleaned out our water/sand table (which realistically has become a wet mud swap, that attracts all the mosquitos on the block), and I turned it into a LEGO station!
And Corbin got a Trampoline for his birthday!!! We gave it to him the night before his party, so that the kiddos could enjoy it at the party! It sure was fun!
I also made the LEGO T-shirt that Corbin is wearing, using a fun tutorial that I found here. I love it, and can’t wait to make more t-shirts using this technique!
LEGO CAKE
So this was a last-minute easy LEGO cake idea. Instead of baking my own LEGO cake I opted to get a premade cake from Costco, but I ordered it without any top decorations, so that I could just decorate it myself. I just used some LEGO candies and some Lego men to create the shape of a 4. The LEGO me then held each of Corbin’s 4 candles! I also added a sparkler… Because who doesn’t love sparklers!!
DIY LEGO PARTY FAVORS
So, we had a few little kids at Corbin’s LEGO Birthday Party… 21 little kids to be exact! Lol… I know, but somehow it didn’t feel like that many kiddos. Maybe because we had it in the back yard where everyone could spread out??? Anyhooo, I made 21 LEGO-to-go party favors for the kids to take home to enjoy! I’ll make a quick little tutorial on how I made them soon, and link it here! but here is a sneak-peak… wink!
And that concludes Corbin’s awesome LEGO Birthday Party! He had a blast, and he already can’t wait for his next birthday party. Lol! What will we come up with next year? Stay tuned for Ivy’s next party in exactly 6 months!
I hope our LEGO Birthday Party fun has inspired you to throw a LEGO Birthday party for your own kiddos. It’s a great party idea for all those Lego loving kids! And it’s pretty easy party idea to pull off when you already have lots of LEGO around the house, on the floor… everywhere!!
Until next time, enjoy celebrating your kids as they grow up, creating memories, and creating beautiful things everyday!

Looks amazing! We did a Lego theme party last year too. Isn’t Pinterest ridiculously amazing and also scary…lol. So many fab ideas but also too many fab ideas for one person to handle sometimes. I love the bits you picked to do. I’m sure the kids had a blast! I love the outdoor water table used as a lego bin!
