Who loves attending weddings?!?! I DO!! But what to wear on that special day?? Do you struggle with what to wear to a wedding? Wedding guest dresses are beautiful… but I always try on a tonne of them, and then never find what I picture in my head of what I want to wear. So I thought why not make my own!!… how hard can it be to create a beautiful flowy skirt and then add a cute top to it?!?!
Sewing my own skirt, to go with a black lace crop top is my plan for my brothers upcoming wedding in SPAIN!! Yes you read that right I get to go to SPAIN!!! But before I do, I wanted to share some of the DIY Skirt Sewing Patterns that have been inspiring me lately!

I love an awesome pencil skirt, and this one looks beautiful, and super easy to create. Especially if you already own a tight mini skirt… you just need to create the lace overlay… and call it a day! Now to find some beautiful lace!!

And I’m thinking this skirt would be awesome for someone like me who is on a weight loss journey, and wants to create pieces that have the ability to shrink too!! Now I’m so excited to get going on creating my own DIY skirt, and not only that… I’m excited to add so many fun skirts to my wardrobe! I wish I could sew better because that tulle skirt is totally adorable. My mother was a fantastic seamstress and made a lot of my clothes but sadly that gene did not pass on to me except for maybe basic Halloween costumes and pillows LOL.
Basic Halloween costumes in on my list of sewing projects too! Don’t doubt yourself girl! You can do anything!
