STEPS TO MAKE LAMINATED WATERCOLOR BOOKMARKS:

Step #1: Cut your Watercolor Paper into about 2 1/2 inch wide strips.

Step #2: Tape the edges of the paper strips down onto a board with easy to remove tape (Masking Tape). Make sure to cover the whole length of all the edges of the bookmark. so that the water color paint cannot get onto the edges of the paper.

Step #3: Paint your bookmark with Watercolor Paints. I got the kids to paint pictures, designs, and words, for the special people in their lives!

Step #4: Let the painting completely dry before carefully removing the tape from the edges of the paintings. Just go slowly and you shouldn’t rip any of the paper.

This fun easy gift idea was well loved by the people we gifted them to this year. And we love ours too! I think we need to make some more because I have noticed that when putting the kiddos to bed, we often don’t finish a whole book before they want to go to sleep. So we need to bookmark all the books!!

I hope this tutorial inspires you to get creative in making some beautiful laminated watercolor bookmarks. They make a great gift idea, especially for those friends and family members who live far away, because they are so easy to mail!

Until next time, enjoy making watercolor masterpieces, and creating beautiful things everyday!
